TM RACING
Where it all began.
It all began in 1976 with two friends who shared two great passions: motorbikes and racing. Thanks to the exceptional quality and high performance of their motorbikes, in just a few years this small company based in Pesaro became a major reality. TM’s pioneers, Claudio Flenghi and Francesco Battistelli (aka “Mr Engine” and “Mr Chassis”), are two childhood friends who have spent a large part of their lives in direct contact with the world of engines.
In 1977, the two friends gave up their respective activities and founded their own motorbike company, registered under the name TM (the initials of the names of their sons, Thomas and Mirko).
Also in 1977, a motorbike was entrusted to Gastone Serafini, a young rider from Pesaro, who made a decisive contribution to the development of the bike and achieved top-level sporting results.

At the Milan Motorcycle Show in 1977, TM enjoyed unexpected success, prompting the company to transfer its headquarters from the small Flenghi workshop to a new, better-equipped facility in the Pesaro industrial estate. It was at this time that the Serafini family became part of the ownership, enabling the company to produce 200 motocross bikes in 1978.
In 1979 TM expanded its racing team by adding Tommaso Lolli to Gastone Serafini, the bike continued to develop and the first TM enduro bikes were produced that year. In 1982, Batistelli decided to leave TM and his position was taken over by Gastone Serafini who, having reached the end of his professional racing career, decided to support Flenghi full-time in the management of the company.
In the years that followed, a succession of riders took the helm of TM motorbikes, achieving excellent results at national and international level, as well as in the karting sector, where TM quickly became the leader with its engines. The philosophy that has always distinguished TM is certainly the choice of materials, which must always be of the highest quality, and the finish, defined by some as “maniacal”, not forgetting the high performance of the engines that equip the standard motorbikes, in many cases clearly superior to the official engines of the most famous competitors.
This justifies the prices of these technical jewels, which are aimed at a niche market of very demanding customers. They can buy a standard product with which they can take part in top-level competitions.
TM Kart
Alongside its expertise in motorbikes, TM Racing has also made a name for itself in the world of karting with its engines, which are now renowned as undisputed leaders in the international rankings.
Over the years, many drivers have excelled on national and international circuits using karts powered by TM engines. This success is the result of the philosophy that has always distinguished TM: an unwavering commitment to the quality of materials and the manufacturing process, and a constant quest for reliability and superior performance in its engines.
